Espresso, Anyone?

espresso 200x300 Espresso, Anyone?Espresso was invented by Luigi Bezzera on early 1900s, who were only trying to think of a way to make coffee with less time. He figured out that this could be achieved by adding pressure to the process, and this is how the espresso machine was created. Then he realized he created more than he bargained for, a cup of strong taste coffee with more kick using a faster process. What he uncovered was the quick brewing process by forcing the flavor faster and efficiently than doing the traditional style of brewing.

Desiderio Pavoni, a very successful business person, bought the rights on the espresso machine, thus making the product more popular and extremely well in the market. Espresso’s popularity spread immediately and we began seeing espresso stands being started throughout the U.S.

This is very interesting. Do you by any chance also know the history of the stovetop “mokka” espresso pot?
