Coffee harvesters like to use Robusta Beans because they grow easily in mild environments. Meaning they thrive better, need less care, and are less sensitive to climate and always guarantee good harvest. That’s why twenty five and forty percent of the coffee consumed around the world comes from Robusta beans.
Certain varieties of Robusta beans produce coffee with stronger flavor than that of Arabica beans. Most instant coffee comes from Robusta beans. They yield much more beans than Arabica, but the brew produced by these beans taste bitter and sour.
Although the beans contain higher caffeine, they remain low in calibre. Often, roasters blend them for their higher caffeine content and bold taste. You will find them being used as a cheap filler to cut the wholesale coffee cost and product.
Most canned coffee found in supermarkets hide any hints of staleness because of its scent. The coffee may have been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long. Sadly, taste and flavor is being sacrificed for cost.
